Anyone know any good cheap-end restaurants in Chapel Hill?

yeah... Pepper's Pizza springs immediately to mind on Franklin St, Bailey's isn't too bad, and there's Breadmen's on Rosemary if you want more diner-y fare. There's also an Elmo's in Carrboro at Carr Mill Mall, which, if you like /good/ diner style food (hamburgers, soup n' sammich, chicken n' dumplings and the best bleu cheeseburgers ever), I highly recommend. If you want mexican, there's Carrburrito's across the street. Depends largely on what you're in the mood for, really.

I second the Pepper's Pizza or Elmo's. I've also become a fan of Noodles and Company which is next to the bike shop in downtown Carrboro (and has parking). JT's Grill (where Lucy's used to be, behind and kitty-corner from the post office) has excellent cheeseburgers.

There is a very good mexican place next to Caribou on Franklin Street, and almost directly across from that is a good indian place. I can't remember the names, it's been a while.

The Mexican restaurant isn't there anymore. It's now owned by Los Potrillos, and I haven't been there since thay changed hands.
